Detractors say they don’t exist, often citing the lack of official confirmation from elected officials for the initiative as their proof. If the government actually had FEMA refugee and re-education facilities they’d have told us, right, because they’ve been so transparent about everything else? Apparently, even when leaked government documents show proof of the existence of these resettlement camps, it’s not enough for those who don’t want to open their eyes.
Most people simply refuse to believe that the U.S. government would build such facilities, yet the evidence suggests that they are not only real, but being actively staffed by the federal government and U.S. military. It would only make sense, wouldn’t it? The Department of Homeland Security has already been war gaming scenarios that include everything from widespread economic collapse to massive natural disasters, all of which could lead to mass refugee evacuations of America’s metropolitan areas. Where would those people go in an emergency? Where will they get food? Where will the government house tens of thousands of protesters and rioters should the financial system collapse and martial law be declared as was suggested would be the case in 2008 if Congress had not acted to bail out financial markets?
The answers are pretty clear if you consider that the goal of this government in any large crisis is to maintain control.

Canadian Protestant church joins boycott Israel campaign

According to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA), Canada’s largest Protestant church has launched a campaign to boycott goods made in the occupied West Bank.
The United Church of Canada campaign, dubbed “Unsettling Goods: Choose Peace in Palestine and Israel”, encourages “economic action” against three Israeli companies: Keter Plastic Ltd, SodaStream and Havana, which all have factories in the West Bank.
 “With these efforts, we join with many others striving to bring peace with justice to the Holy Land,” the church’s moderator, Gary Paterson, wrote in a November letter to church members announcing the launch of the campaign. Churchgoers are also urged to avoid retailers carrying the products, such as Canadian Tire, The Bay, Home Depot and Walmart.      (redressonline.com)

What kind of hornet’s nest was opened up for the GM industry in view of the retraction of the two year "Long term toxicity of a Roundup herbicide and a Roundup-tolerant genetically modified maize", by G E Séralini et al, published in Food and Chemical Toxicology 2012, 50(11), 4221-31?
According to the article published December 5, 2013 in the Ecologist,

This arbitrary, groundless retraction of a published, thoroughly peer-reviewed paper is without precedent in the history of scientific publishing, and raises grave concerns over the integrity and impartiality of science. These concerns are heightened by a sequence of events surrounding the retraction: 

• the appointment of ex-Monsanto employee Richard Goodman to the newly created post of associate editor for biotechnology at FCT
• the retraction of another study finding potentially harmful effects from GMOs (which almost immediately appeared in another journal) 
• the failure to retract a paper published by Monsanto scientists in the same journal in 2004, for which a gross error has been identified.
