DEUS… De-Us… Why i am an anti-semantic…
The word for God according to the Latin Etymology and King James Bible
dictionaries is DEUS. De-us. The prefix "de" means to take away from...
and what is us? Religion takes us away from ourselves, and it appears to
do so quite deliberately, since the only other word listed under God is
Zeus... which, as all believers believe, is just a mythological God...
right?
In order for a benevolent deity de
manding
worship and obedience to make any sense at all, you'd have to reason it
created this world and people'd it for that very purpose… but there's a
problem there… that is not benevolence, that is narcissistic
psychopathy.
What would
stop a small group of self interested people from devising a plan to
control the world? They write a book declaring themselves to be the
chosen ones of a God they created. De-us in that context, a semantic
context, would mean them and not us... and now there is a need for
believers... a need worth killing for even. After a time, there would be
a need to not be found out at all costs.
Three religions and countess sects (sounds like sex)...
SAME GOD. The Jews get to use magic, Islam gets astrology and the poor
slob Christians are told both of those are taboo. All you who worship
Yahweh need a freaking wake up call... your deity is a sadistic
bastard...
