Whatever is done voluntarily by the individual is totally in keeping with Jeffersonian American tradition.
If you want to put a plate in your lips & walk around or tattoo your neck or wear a tampon or a diaper on your head or in any other way do idiotic things to yourself, that's fine, as long as it only affects you.

As soon as force enters the picture in opposition to the will of someone, only then the problem starts, otherwise all varieties of voluntary sadomasochism, traditional or modern, are covered by individual rights.
In the original American conception there were no 'civil rights' or 'group rights' of any kind and you could discriminate against anyone for any reason on your own property. You had to earn that property first through merit demonstrated in the free exchange of goods & services.
People ostracized and got ostracized in return for any reason (No Irish, No Blacks, No Fat Bastards, etc.) or were tolerant & received tolerance in return depending on their own value systems and, of course, the profit motive.
The more people you irrationally discriminate against in a system that's restored to the meritocracy of the true free market (not the false one of usury & couterfeiting slavery standing in for it) the smaller your potential customer market for your goods or services.
What fairy tales this or that group believes in is completely irrelevant in the United States. Reason and the natural law (non-initiation of force) only reigns supreme.

Your multicultural, high minded, morally superior thinking will lead to the ruin of this nation. You should study history beyond the myths of the 'founding fathers' and the constipation. What happens when you get a nation full of people that fundamentally don't like each other and share no culture ties? The nation is destroyed and fractured. History is full of such examples. We can see this nation coming apart at the seams and a degradation of the culture. If muslims want to preserve their culture and religion, they should focus their efforts in their own nations.

Thomas Jefferson & the rest of the FF's created this nation as a 'meritocracy,' a land of equal rights, BEFORE the law, to UNEQUAL results, NOT egalitarian, and not as a land of privileges for whites and stomping rights over everybody else. Any group 'privileges' were to be EARNED fair & square on the market & not through government force & therefore not privileges at all.
This was the intent, even if the application was not & it was to the extent that the INTENT & the principle was abided by, that America prospered & became ever more civilized & industrialized.
This was used against them later in the slavery non-issue to attack the South.
It just so happened that 98% of the American people, including all the founding fathers were white. Even up to the 1960s 90% of the people here were white (down to around 73% now).
But Jefferson was not a Christian and neither was Hitler. They were just not stupid enough to believe people's age-old superstitions could just be made to disappear in one generation.
