Richard Spence on Aleister Crowley
Richard Spence returns to discuss his book Secret Agent 666: Aleister Crowley, British Intelligence and the Occult. Spence provides strong evidence exposing Aleister Crowley as a British intelligence asset and argues that much of the Great Beast’s public vilification was a cover to mask his role as a secret agent.
Richard Spence is a professor of European history at the University of Idaho, with a focus on Russia and Eastern Europe in the 20th century. He is the author of several other books including, Wall Street and the Russian Revolution: 1905–1925 and Trust No One: The Secret World of Sidney Reilly.
