The key to this whole drama was the B'nai B'rith (Jewish Freemasonic organization). Frank was head of the Atlanta 'lodge', so the creation of the "ADL of B'nai B'rith" was essentially about defending one of their brothers - and obviously other brothers in the future, as necessary.
Garden variety 'profane' jews would hardly benefit at all.
Of course, after the Zionist Entity was created, the ADL's mission was considerably expanded beyond the needs of the brotherhood... and here we are today, suffering at the hands of this global beast. By the way, here in Australia their branch is the ADC (not ADL).
