I have a enamel top Magnetic Stirrer- Hot Plate combo. Seems that might work too. I think I might give it a try in the coming weeks. He seemed to be pretty anal about the glass touching metal. Not sure why?

P.S. You can actually create liposomes without an ultrasonic machine and just use a kitchen blender.

So when he says not to let the glass touch the SS I assume its because the glass might break from the high vibration?
