According to Wikipedia:
One Earth orbit around the Sun (sidereal year) takes 365.256 days.
The period of the Moon's orbit as defined with respect to the celestial sphere (International Celestial Reference Frame) is known as a sidereal month - the time the Moon takes to return to a similar position among the stars (Latin: sidera): 27.321661 days.
The synodic month (Greek: synodikós, 'synod or meeting' of the Sun and the Moon) is the period of the Moon's orbit with respect to the line joining the Sun and Earth. That is the period of the lunar phases, or the position of the Moon with respect to the Sun as seen from the Earth.
The synodic month takes 2.2 days longer than the sidereal month, thus, 13.37 sidereal months, and 12.37 synodic months, occur in one Gregorian year, 365.2425 days.
Earth's orbit around the Sun is elliptical, so the speed of Earth's progression varies during the year. The angular rate is faster nearer periapsis and slower near apoapsis. The same is so for the Moon's orbit around the Earth. Because of these variations in angular rate, the actual time between lunations varies from 29.18 to 29.93 days. The average duration is 29.530587 days.
So during the sidereal year there are approx 12.368734 months (lunations)

I have 2 books that list the positions of the planets, Moon and Sun for every day of the year from January 1st 1900 to December 31st 2050. Such a book is called an Ephemeris and is well known to astrologers. The Heliocentric planetary model WORKS because it corresponds with the observations of astronomers. The "Gravitational" Planetary Model need only be upgraded with the Electric Universe Model to account for all observations as well as possible sudden and rapid changes in the balanced system of planets revolving around the Sun. No doubt about it, the model works and there is no need to go Full Retard with nonsensical "Flat Earth" theories. Where is THEIR model of how these celestial bodies work? The few models I have seen are totally ridiculous.
The fundamental energetic skeleton of all particles, big and small, is the electromagnetic toroid. The planetary system is a self-sustaining, energy producing system that regenerates itself perpetually. Nothing is faster than electricity. Its movement creates magnetism; the movement of magnetism creates electricity. They feed on each other and combine according to geometrical "laws", sometimes concentrating waves so much, that they appear to us, as solid matter. Electricity and magnetism create electromagnetic waves which permeate the observable Universe.

Did they lie to us about gun powder, for example? I don't know and I don;t care. When I was 15 years old, I used to go to a chemistry store in Ottawa, Haberman Chemists on Laurier street. On one occasion, I bought some sulphur, some potassium nitrate and some potassium chlorate. I got some carbon by burning paper and wood. I mixed the stuff together in the right proportions and within a couple of weeks, I was making nice remote controlled bombinos. A 6 volt battery, wiring and a switch was all I needed to set them off. The current would make a spring from a ballpoint pen turn incandescent red and ignite the mixture in which it was buried.
Lots of fun!
The point of that story is to illustrate that real science WORKS. One does not need to turn it into a God damn religion for Christ's sake! {{{smiles}}}

Why would one necessarily assume that the rotation of the planet is occurring within a stagnant mass of air? If that were the case, yes, we would theoretically face a 1,000-mile per hour wind coming from the east at the equator. Since that is far from the case, I postulate that the same electromagnetic forces which are turning the planet (like a motor/generator) are also turning and churning the atmospheres above. Wind speeds vary quite a bit as you go up, way up. The dominant winds become more uniform the higher you go up.
Check out this site: it shows the winds all over the Earth and you can change parameters including how high you want to go to see the wind patterns.
They are like huge rivers that create all kinds of cyclones, vortices, currents. I suspect that this is one way the Earth cleanses itself as it goes through the vastness of the omnipresent ether. It could be, that with enough time, the poisons produced by all the life forms, geological processes like huge volcanic eruptions of fumes, and of course, cow farts, etc..., these poisons could end up either in space or deep down in the ground. Maybe a pole shift is just the Earth cleansing itself of an overdose of shit, if not an overdose of bullshit, horseshit, chicken shit and pig shit!
